Edinburgh-based SNAP40 designs wearable medical devices.听UWShelped听the firm听develop a device to monitor respiratory rate, blood pressure, heart rate and skin temperature. The data is transmitted wirelessly to a software platform which detects patterns, automatically notifying healthcare听staff of any issue.

Flying Start

Around 1.2m flights per year depend on National Air Traffic Services鈥� Prestwick Control Centre for safe and efficient passage. NATS has formed a partnership with UWSto work on a range of projects covering joint research and knowledge transfer, collaborative education and training programmes.

University Grants Commission, Sri Lanka

Since 2019, a team at UWShas worked closely with British Council Sri Lanka, the Quality Assurance Council and University Grants Commission (UGC), on a project across all 15 State universities in Sri Lanka. We provide training and consultancy on developing a Student Voice within the Quality Assurance process across institutions.

Care Coalition

A听partnership between UWSand Loretto Care, an organisation which provides support to people in need across the west of Scotland, has helped build and sustain a world-class facility for people with听alcohol-related brain damage.
